The Parish of All Saints’ lies within Merton Deanery and is part of the Archdeaconry of Lambeth.
The Diocese is Southwark and the Episcopal area Kingston, but pastoral care is provided by the Bishop of Fulham
All Saints’ is a small parish, (the census for 1991 returned a total of 2,684 souls), and is now almost completely residential, many of the last remaining industrial units having disappeared in the last decade. The housing is dense and many of the new properties that have gone up on the old industrial sites have been specifically tailored to meet the needs of professional people. However, there is also sheltered housing, a range of council properties and a plethora of older houses that survived the ‘South Wimbledon’ plan of the late ‘60’s and early 70’s. The parish takes in two schools – Garfield Primary School and All Saints’ Primary School – the latter being directly linked to the church.
The parish borders comprise Haydons Road to the West, Caxton Road to the North, The River Wandle to the East and Merton High Street to the South. If you live in one of these streets then All Saints’ is your parish church:-
